All Saints Football Club
Logo Competition winner
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Thomas Johnson is the winner of the All Saints FC logo competition. As the judge of the competition, Dominic was really thankful for all the entries, he thought there were some lovely ideas and was quite torn between three particularly good ones, however in the end Tom’s design was the one that won. Dominic said of the design;-
“I like the fact that it spells out the name (not just initials) and also the use of the church tower in the centre which represents both the Church link now, but can represent the community in which the club is based as well. The football boots are great too-look like something out of the Thunderbirds-thank you for your thought and hard work.”
Lovemore and Chris our coaches will be delighted that the logo happens to have been developed in blue and yellow colours which may mean they don’t have to buy new tracksuits!
By the time you read this, Thomas will have been presented with his prize at the Bright Light Party on the 31st October 2007 at Leigh Village Hall.
We now need to find a sponsor who might be prepared to help us with sponsorship of the logo development and kits for the team in the near future.
Parents meeting -Farmers Arms, 9th November 2007, 7.30pm
Our coaches Lovemore and Chris came to the last All Saints PCC meeting and it was agreed the PCC would be very happy to act as the initial conduit for the set up of All Saints Football Club, undertaking interim responsibility for Child Protection issues; risk assessment; registration and insurance issues which are in the process of being sorted out - we are currently still operating slightly informally. The PCC is a bit like the Grandparent now we need to develop the Parent part of the Football Club!
We now need to move to the next stage of formally registering as a club so that we start working towards proper teams and leagues-an outline of what is required will be given and the appointment of officers will take place at this inaugural meeting!
Well done to Izzy, Kevin and Phil
We are delighted that the three of them have opted to train as Level 1 sports coaches for the football -thank you for your energy contribution and support!
