JB reported back on the Local List to validate planning applications - he did not think that it is applicable to Leigh.
BIS to try to get the Annual Meeting in the May Parish Magazine.

E.S.B.C. – Supplementary Planning Document On Design Guidance - JB to read through
C.C.S – Membership Application Renewal @ £20.00 - Council agreed to renew
C.C.S.- Calor Village of The Year 2008 - Leigh does not enter
Local Council Review Subscription - Council agreed to renew at £13.50
E.S.B.C. - Site Allocations and Policies Development Plan - JB to read through

2. Erection of a two storey rear extension and installation of septic tank. Over Fole Farm, Beamhurst – J Brandrick & Son - No Objections
3. Raising of roof height to provide first floor living accommodation and erection of two storey front and rear extensions. Sherratts Wood Farm, Middleton Green, Leigh – Mrs & Mrs Fletcher-Chard - Council think that its an excessive increase to the size of the property and given its prominent position it would not be in keeping with the area

6.Parish Matters
S.C.C. - new contract for mowing of the playing field 1st April 2008 - 31st October 2009 Council agreed to sign - Clerk to send off
CA read out a reply from Philip Atkin to Ben Oakes when he wrote and asked for a skateboard park in Leigh. There are 3 funds available for young people and all Councillors are to get a copy so they are aware of the funds.
CA reported on the ‘boy racers’ that had been round the village over the weekend destroying posts and crashing into ditches. The police have been round the area and no where the car is parked, hidden. The police will get Highways out to rectify the signs that have been broken. The phone number 08453 302010 to report anything you see to the police. CA to give the phone number to Nicki Grey to publish in the Parish Magazine.
Clerk to chase up a Village Hall Sign, Council wants a price.
John Ratcliffe, Station View, Moor Lane has built a huge steel framed shed on his back garden, single story 4 windows in the roof. Clerk to enquire if he needs planning permission.
Fly tipping at bottom of Leigh Bank behind the concrete post. Clerk to report it
